1-day – extendable
Amongst our standard, individual- and combination tours on WWII and the “Battle of the Bulge” in Luxembourg, GAUL's LEGACY TOURS offers a unique special tour with insights on how the Korean War (1950-53) impacted on Luxembourg.
This tour is specifically designed for Korean visitors to Luxembourg to focus and become aware of Luxembourg’s contribution to the UN effort to field troops to come to help liberate South Korea from aggression. It also addresses anyone who had participants in the Korean War as soldiers of the 16 UN nations to bring relief to South Korea in 1950-53. Luxembourg became the smallest nation and UN member to send troops to the Korean peninsula. Learn of the HOWs and WHYs, follow the Luxembourg volunteers to a land they had practically never heard of before, see a museum exhibit on the Korean War and the Luxembourg army and visit key memorials and relevant sites.
